Before you start
- Do not use force on adjustment needles.
Procedure
- Install needle seat, needle, float and float pin.
- Set float level: with casting inverted and float resting against needle, clearance between machined surface and free end of float should be 11/64 in plus or minus 1/32 in.
- Adjust by bending lip of float with small screwdriver.
- Install new bowl ring gasket, new bowl nut gasket (when required) and bowl nut; tighten securely.
- Install main fuel adjustment needle, turn in until seated and back out two turns.
- Install idle fuel adjustment needle, back out approximately 1-1/2 turns after seating lightly against jet.
