Kohler KD83V16 — Turbocharger removal and installation (SL 213)

Before you start
- Burns by hot engine near operating temperature.
- Replace all sealings.
Procedure
- Remove screws 1 and washers 2.
- Open and loosen V-clamp 8.
- Place screws in bores 12 and lift turbocharger using sling.
- On workbench remove screws 7, distance sleeves 6 and seal 4.
- Remove compensator 5.
- Repeat for all turbochargers.
- Grease screws with Molykote HSC; mount compensator 5 with seal 4.
- Insert o-rings 10, 11 in turbocharger bracket.
- Position V-clamp 8 and seal 9; position turbochargers and tighten screws 1, then V-clamp.
