Kohler KD62V12 — Turbocharger removal and installation

Procedure

1. Remove admission pipes, exhaust pipes and turbocharger cooling lines; drain LT coolant.
2. Remove screws and washers; open and loosen V-clamp.
3. Place screws in bores and lift turbocharger using sling.
4. Remove screws, distance sleeves and seal; remove compensator.
5. Repeat for all turbochargers.
6. Installation: grease screws with Molykote HSC; install studs.
7. Mount compensator with seal on turbochargers; tighten screws with distance sleeves and seal.
8. Insert O-rings in turbocharger bracket.
9. Grease V-clamp lips and thread; position V-clamp on exhaust pipe outlets.
10. Position turbochargers on brackets and tighten screws; position V-clamp on connection exhaust pipe to compensator and tighten.
11. Vent coolant circuit at the end.
