Before you start
- Replace all sealings
- Vent coolant circuit at the end of installation
Procedure
- Drain LT coolant circuit and remove venting line LT charge air cooler.
- Remove two screws diametrically opposed; place guiding rods in their place.
- Remove remaining screws and screws 6.
- Remove thermostat housing; remove guiding rods.
- Remove thermostats; remove pipe with flange.
- Installation: assemble pipe and flange with O-rings; insert O-rings on water pump inlet.
- Position pipe assembly on water pump inlet; position thermostats in housing.
- Place guiding rods in place of two screws; place thermostat housing and screws.
- Remove guiding rods and place remaining screws.
- Screw thermostat housing; tighten to torque.
- Vent coolant circuit at the end.
