Kohler KD62V12 — Injector removal and installation

Before you start
- Lethal or heavy injury due to flammable fluids under high pressure (up to 2000 bar)
- Replace all sealings
- Never release fuel circuit screws while engine is running
Procedure
- Remove cylinder head covers.
- Remove electrical contacts from injector.
- Take off high pressure pipe from adaptor.
- Remove retaining plate with screws and close all open connections with plugs.
- Open screw and remove clamp.
- Extract injector with injector extractor.
- Clean carbon from injector seat; lubricate sleeve and injector O-rings.
- Position injector with connection upwards into sleeve; introduce clamp and screw; screw collet 90 degrees back.
- Position retaining plate with screws.
- Lubricate threads and O-rings of high pressure pipe, adaptor and injector.
- Push injector in cylinder head and check alignment of fuel pipe and distributor block.
- Tighten following the tightening sequence.

Specs & values
- Pre-tighten nut 23 Nm
- Clamp 60 Nm
- Distributor block nut 189 Nm
- Injector nut 150 Nm
- Electrical connection 0.5 Nm
