Before you start
- Do not force adjusting screws closed as damage to needle valves will result.
Procedure
- Stop engine, turn MAIN and IDLE fuel screws all the way in until they bottom lightly.
- Main fuel preliminary setting: turn screw out 2-1/2 turns.
- Run at maximum governed no load speed; turn main screw in until speed decreases, note position.
- Turn main screw out, note position where speed again decreases; set midway between the two points.
- Run at maximum governed no load speed 30 seconds, then set idle speed to 1800 RPM + 75 RPM.
- Set idle fuel mixture by turning idle fuel screw out 3/4 to 1 full turn from closed position.
