Before you start
- Do not tamper with governor setting. Overspeed is hazardous.
Procedure
- Ensure throttle linkage is connected to governor arm and throttle lever.
- Loosen nut holding governor lever to cross shaft.
- Move governor lever toward throttle body as far as it will go.
- Hold wide-open throttle.
- Use 7 mm hex socket on cross shaft end.
- Rotate shaft counterclockwise as far as it will turn.
- Torque nut to 6.8 N·m (60 in. lb.).
