Procedure

1. Perform with the engine air cleaner in place and the engine run at fast idle 5-10 minutes or until normal operating temperature is reached
2. Locate the idle speed screw in the throttle body
3. Make sure the screw is in contact with the tang on the outer throttle shaft assembly
4. Connect a tachometer and turn the idle speed screw until engine speed is at specifications
5. Turn the screw in to increase idle speed, out to decrease it
6. After each adjustment, pull back on the throttle lever and release; reset if necessary
