Procedure

1. Perform with the air cleaner in place and the engine run 5-10 minutes at fast idle or until normal operating temperature is reached
2. Make sure engine idle speed is at specifications
3. With the engine off, turn the idle mixture adjustment screw in until it is lightly seated, then back out two turns
4. Start engine; turn the screw in until the engine begins to run rough or stumble due to a lean mixture
5. Slowly turn the needle out until the engine begins to roll due to a rich mixture
6. Slowly turn the needle in to a point between the two extremes until the engine runs smoothly; always favor a slightly rich setting
7. Recheck idle speed and adjust if necessary
