Kohler — Check Oil Level

Before you start

  • To prevent extensive engine wear or damage, never run engine with oil level below or above operating range indicator on dipstick.

Procedure

  1. Ensure engine is cool and level.
  2. Clean oil fill/dipstick areas of any debris.
  3. Remove dipstick and wipe oil off.
  4. Reinsert dipstick into tube and press completely down.
  5. Remove dipstick and check oil level. Level should be at top of indicator on dipstick.
  6. If oil is low on indicator, add oil up to top of indicator mark.
  7. Reinstall and secure dipstick.
