Procedure

  1. 4. Remove the hex. nuts and plain washers using the
  2. barrel wrench. Refer to Figure 9-23.
  3. 2. The cylinder barrels are already identified as #1 or
  4. #2 by a mark stamped near the valve cover/
  5. breather gasket surface.
  6. 3. Identify other engine components, such as the
  7. valves, pistons, connecting rods and rod caps,
  8. and vaive tappets, prior to removal or
  9. disassembly.

Tools required

  • barrel wrench. Refer to Figure 9-23.
