Before you start

  • 1. Note the position of govemor spring in govemor

Procedure

  1. 1. Note the position of govemor spring in govemor
  2. arm and speed control lever. Loosen the hex. nut
  3. and remove governor arm and plain washer from
  4. cross shaft. Refer to Figure 9-6.
  5. 2. Remove the governor spring from governor arm
  6. and speed control lever. Remove the governor
  7. linkage from govemor arm and carburetor throttle
  8. lever.
  9. 3. Loasen the hose clamp and remove fuel tine from
  10. fuel pump outlet.
  11. 4. Remove the hex. cap screws, split lock washers,
  12. lifting straps, intake manifold with carburetor, and
  13. intake manifold gaskets. R

  15. 5. Remove the engine-mounted throttle and choke
