Kohler — ment cover w/grommet off. Remove paper

For these Kohler models: CH5, CH6.

Applies to: Kohler Ch5, Kohler Ch6

Procedure

  1. 4. Replace a dirty, bent, or damaged element with a
  2. genuine Kohler element. Do not wash the paper
  3. element or use pressurized air, as this will dam-
  4. age the element. Handle new elements carefully;
  5. do not use if the sealing surfaces are bent or
  6. damaged.
  7. Disassembly-CH6 Air Cleaner
  8. Components
  9. The following procedure is for complete disassembly
  10. of all CH6 air Cleaner components. Refer to Figure
  11. 48-1 for sequence.
  12. 5. When servicing the air cleaner, check the air
  13. cleaner base. Make sure it is secured and not
  14. bent or damaged. Also check the air cleaner ele-
  15. 1. Remove air cleaner components following Steps 1
  16. through 5 under the “SERVICE PAPER ELEMENT
  17. ment cover for damage or improper fit. Replace
  18. all bent or damaged air cleaner components.
  19. . Install new or serviced paper element and compo-
  20. nents as follows:
  21. a. Position paper element on base.
  22. b. Slide element cover w/grommet then washer
  23. onto stud, secure with wing nut.
  24. CH6” heading in this Section.
