Procedure

1. 1. Remove the five hex flange valve cover screws
2. and valve cover from the cylinder head assembly.
3. See Figure 9-18.
4. NOTE: The valve cover is sealed to the cylinder head
5. using RTV silcone sealant. When removing
6. valve cover, use care not to damage the gas-
7. ket surfaces of cover and cylinder head.

9. 1. Remove the hex flange screws securing the cylin-
10. der head baffle to the cylinder head. See Figure
11. 9-19. Remove the baffle.

13. 1. Remove the hex flange screws from blower hous-
14. ing and baffles. Disconnect wire hamess from the
15. key switch, if equipped. Remove the blower hous-
16. ing and baffles.

19. 1. Disconnect the kill lead from the ignition module
20. terminal. See Figure 9-21.
21. 2. Rotate flywheel magnet away from ignition mod-
22. ule.
23. 3. Remove the two hex flange screws and ignition
24. module.
