For these Kohler models: 10/15RMOY, 15/17.5ROY, 15RMY, 22.5-47.5ROZ, 22.5/32.5RZ.

Procedure

1. 18. Remove the four J-bolts and exciter field from end
2. bracket (Figure 4-32).

4. Reassembly

6. Clean end bracket pilots and replace exciter field. Re-
7. place J-bolts and tighten to 70 in. Ibs. (.80 Kgm).
8. Replace hardened washers and four long overbolts;
9. turn end bracket face down on wood blocks (all
10. models except 47.5kW) (Figure 4-33).
11. Attach lifting hooks and hoist stator over end bracket.
12. Position stator mounting parallel with base of end
13. bracket and lower onto clean end bracket pilot.
14. Position generator adapter onto stator. Make sure
15. adapter base, stator mounting and end bracket base
16. are parallel. Bump adapter snugly into place with a
17. rubber mallet (Figure 4-34).
18. Replace washers, four stator-to-end bracket, and four
19. stator-to-adapter attachment bolts (47.5kW). Reach
20. under supported end bracket and guide overboits into
21. adapter; hand tighten (all other models).
22. Hoist generator assembly into a horizontal position.
23. Torque all mounting bolts t
24. o 260 in. Ibs. (2.99 Kgm).
25. Hoist generator assembly (end bracket down) back to
