Kohler — GENERATOR DISASSEMBLY — REASSEMBLY

Procedure

1. 6. Place wood block(s) under flywheel housing to sup-
2. port engine; lower, allowing flywheel housing to
3. lightly rest on wood blocks (Figure 4-21).

12. Remove bolts mounting generator adapter to
13. flywheel housing (Figure 4-23),
14. Remove nuts holding fan and drive discs to flywheel
15. (Figure 4-24).
16. Guide generator fan off of studs and remove spacers.
17. If studs hold drive discs to flywheel, work drive discs
18. over studs to separate generator from engine (Figure
19. 4-25).
20. Loosen four stator-to-end bracket and four stator-to-
21. adapter attachment bolts to where they can be turned
22. by hand (47.5kW). Loosen four overbolts to where
23. they can be turned by hand (all other models) (Fig-
24. ures 4-26 and 4-27).
25. Carefully hoist generator assembly (end bracket
