Procedure

  1. 2. Compress the valve springs with a valve spring
  2. compressor and remove keepers. Refer to
  3. Figure 9-25.
  4. 3. Remove the valve spring compressor; then re-
  5. move valves, lower intake valve spring retainers,
  6. exhaust valve rotators, and valve springs.
  7. 4, Remove the intake valve seals from valve guides.
  8. 1. With a marking pen or paint, mark the pistons and
  9. connecting rads as #1 side and #2 side. Refer to
  10. Figure 9-26.

  12. 2. Remove the piston pin retainers, piston pins, and
  13. pistons.
  14. 1. Remove the top and center compression rings
  15. using a ring expander tool. Refer to Figure 9-27.

  19. Exhaust Valve
  20. Rotator Valve Springs
