Before you start

  • 1. Note the position of govemor spring in govemor
  • NOTE: Loosening the hex. nut or removing gover-

Procedure

  1. 25. Remove connecting rods.
  2. 26. Remove govemor gear and cross shatt.
  3. 27. Remove oil pickup and oil pump.
  4. 1. Remove the oi fil cap, dipstick, and oil drain
  5. Plug. Drain the oil from crankcase. Refer to
  6. Figure 9-1.
