Before you start
- 1. Note the position of govemor spring in govemor
- NOTE: Loosening the hex. nut or removing gover-
Procedure
- 25. Remove connecting rods.
- 26. Remove govemor gear and cross shatt.
- 27. Remove oil pickup and oil pump.
- 1. Remove the oi fil cap, dipstick, and oil drain
- Plug. Drain the oil from crankcase. Refer to
- Figure 9-1.
- 2. Remove and discard the ail filter.
