Kohler CH5 / CH6 — Change Oil

Before you start

Change oil while engine is still warm.
Do not overfill.

Procedure

Remove oil drain plug and oil fill cap/dipstick or oil fill/check plug. Allow ample time to drain.
Reinstall drain plug. Torque to 17.6 Nm (13 ft. lb.).
Fill crankcase with new oil of proper type to 'F' mark on dipstick or to overflowing filler neck on CH6.
Reinstall oil fill cap/dipstick and tighten securely.
