Before you start
- DANGER OF ELECTROCUTION! High voltage present when set is running.
Procedure
- Clean end bracket pilots and replace exciter field. Tighten J-bolts to 70 in. lbs.
- Replace washers and overbolts; turn end bracket face down.
- Attach lifting hooks and hoist stator over end bracket.
- Position generator adapter onto stator.
- Replace washers and attachment bolts. Torque all to 260 in. lbs.
- Hoist generator assembly to horizontal position.
- Fasten lifting eye to rotor flange and hoist rotor into position.
- Place generator fan on rotor; position drive discs; torque to 50 ft. lbs.

- Mounting bolts: 260 in. lbs. (2.99 Kgm)
- Drive disc bolts: 50 ft. lbs. (6.92 Kgm)
- Speed sensor air gap: 0.020 in. (0.508 mm)
