Before you start
- Disconnect and remove starting batteries. Shut off fuel supply.
Procedure
- Remove end panel and enclosure side panels.
- Wrap and disconnect stator lead connections.
- Remove speed sensor (NFPA models).
- Disconnect stator from steel mounting frame.
- Cradle stator and hoist generator off vibro-mounts.
- Place wood blocks under flywheel housing.
- Remove generator fan guard.
- Remove bolts mounting generator adapter to flywheel housing.
