Before you start
- Ventilate; keep sparks, flames and smoking away from battery
Procedure
- Check electrolyte level; add water above plates
- Do not overfill
- Keep terminals and top of battery clean
- Wash with baking soda and rinse with clear water
- Do not allow soda solution to enter cells
- Check specific gravity; recharge if below 1.240
