Procedure

1. Remove wing nut and air cleaner cover.
2. Remove precleaner from paper element.
3. Replace or wash precleaner in warm water with detergent. Rinse and air dry.
4. Reinstall precleaner over paper element.
5. Remove wing nut (if equipped) and paper element with precleaner. Separate precleaner from element; service precleaner and replace element.
6. Reinstall precleaner over paper element; secure with wing nut (if equipped). Reinstall air cleaner cover and secure with wing nut.
