Before you start
- Accidental starting: disconnect battery cables, negative (–) lead first
- Carbon monoxide: never operate the engine inside a building
Procedure
- Follow the starting sequence for the equipment that this engine powers.
- If the engine does not start after 15 seconds of cranking, wait at least 15 seconds before trying again.
- Do not crank the starter longer than three crank cycles.
- After three crank cycles the controller will display faults.
- If the engine does not start after three attempts, discontinue starting and troubleshoot.
