Before you start
- Operate the generator set only when all guards and electrical enclosures are in place
Procedure
- Verify all guards are in place; install enclosure end panels and nonservice side door
- Check items in Prestart Checklist in the operation manual
- Set time/date and exerciser to run weekly or every other week
- Press RUN on the controller to start the generator set
- Use a DVM to check output voltage; calibrate per Section 3.5 if required
- Press OFF to stop the engine, then press AUTO
- Install enclosure service-side door; verify all doors/panels installed and locked
