Before you start
- Disconnect battery cables before working on the generator set, negative lead first
Procedure
- Press OFF on the RDC2 controller
- Disconnect engine starting battery, negative lead first
- Disconnect utility power to the generator set
- Verify line circuit breaker is sized correctly for new voltage/amperage; replace if necessary
- Select desired voltage connection and connect leads per diagram
- Reconnect engine starting battery, negative lead last
- Enter the RDC2 Genset System menu; check and change system voltage, frequency, and phase settings
- Connect a digital multimeter to the generator set output
- Press RUN to start the generator set
- Use a voltmeter to check for correct voltage output; calibrate per Section 3.5 if necessary
- Press OFF to stop the generator set
- Reconnect utility power
- Press AUTO to place the generator set in automatic mode
