Procedure

  1. Early models: remove pump cover to remove internal filter; swish filter in cleaning solvent to remove debris.
  2. Wipe the magnet and internal surfaces with a clean rag before reassembling.
  3. Later models: replace the screw-in external fuel filter connected to the electric fuel pump.
