Before you start

Procedure

  1. Add Kohler PRO Series fuel treatment or equivalent
  2. Change oil while engine is still warm from operation.
  3. Disconnect negative (-) battery cable.
  4. Store engine in a clean, dry place.
  5. Using an abrasive cut-off wheel, cut out a six tooth
  6. Grind off any burrs or sharp edges.
  7. Invert segment and place it between ignition bosses
  8. Find a used connecting rod from a 10 HP or larger
  9. Remove studs of a Posi-Lock rod or grind off
  10. Find a 1 in. long capscrew with correct thread size to
  11. Use a flat washer with correct I.D. to slip on
