Kohler 12RES — Stopping Generator Set

Before you start

  • There is no engine cooldown time delay on the DC 2200 generator set controller.

Procedure

  1. Run the generator set with no load for at least 2 minutes to allow engine cooldown.
  2. Local stopping: move master switch to OFF/RESET; engine stops.
  3. Automatic stopping: ATS disconnects load from generator set.
  4. ATS opens remote start circuit between controller leads 3 and 4; generator set shuts down.
