Before you start
- Explosive fuel vapors can cause severe injury or death.
Procedure
- Place the generator set master switch in the OFF/RESET position.
- Disconnect the utility power to the generator.
- Disconnect the generator set engine starting battery, negative lead first.
- Turn off and disconnect the fuel supply.
- For natural gas, turn the selection knob all the way clockwise to line up with the UP arrow.
- For LPG, turn the selection knob counterclockwise as far as it will go, approximately 1/4 turn.
- For natural gas, connect ignition timing lead 65 to lead N; for LPG, disconnect lead 65 from lead N.
- Connect and turn on the fuel supply, ensuring it matches the fuel setting.
- Reconnect the engine starting battery leads, negative lead last.
- Reconnect the utility power to the generator.
- Change the fuel type setting on the RDC2 controller in the Genset System menu.
- Start the generator set by moving the master switch to the RUN position.
- Check for leaks using a gas leak detector.
- Run the generator set and check the operation.
