Procedure

Clean the area around the base of the spark plug to keep dirt and debris out of the engine.
Remove the spark plug and check its condition; replace if worn or reuse is questionable.
Check the spark plug gap with a wire feeler gauge and adjust to 0.76 mm (0.030 in.) by bending the ground electrode.
Reinstall the spark plug into the cylinder head and torque.
