Procedure
- Remove center plug (17).
- Add grease until it is up to bottom of shaft or bottom of plug opening.
- New grease-lubricated generator needs no relubrication for 2 years or 9000 hours after initial installation.
- After that, lubricate bearing annually or 4500 hours.
- If grease in reservoir is hardened or dirt laden, remove old grease before adding new grease.
- During overhaul, clean grease reservoir and add new grease.
