Before you start
- Unit is very heavy.
Procedure
- Remove lid: nyloc nuts and bolts off lid support arms, remove locking screw from panel beside hinge, slide lid off hinge pins.
- Remove front cover and front top brace.
- Remove generator end panel by removing the 4 screws from the back panel.
- Turn gas off, disconnect gas line from valve and carburetor, disconnect gas valve wires.
- Remove battery compartment lid, disconnect cables and remove battery.
- Remove the generator head cover and disconnect the three wires from the control panel.
- Remove control box cover, disconnect AC and DC power cords and wire block connector.
- Remove 8 screws from back panel that hold the control and battery box.
- Remove 4 nuts holding the exhaust to the manifold and remove back panel with muffler assembly.
- Remove protective screen and 6 hex drive bolts fastening rotor plate; remove 8 bolts fastening generator housing and 2 bolts to frame; remove generator.
- Drain radiator, remove hoses from engine, remove radiator and panel.
- Remove 2 bolts fastening engine to frame and remove engine.
