Procedure
- Apply a thin film of conductive heat sink compound around the base of the replacement diode (do not coat the threads).
- Install the diode on the heat sink, taking care not to over torque the retaining nut.
- Torque the retaining nut to 28 pound-inches.
- If not damaged, unsolder the existing diode lead wire from the failed diode and resolder onto the replacement.
