Before you start

  • Unequal u-joint angles can result in rpm fluctuations and increased wear on the u-joints and pump.

Procedure

  1. Achieve the best installation when the distance from the PTO U-joint to the hitch equals the distance from the hitch to the pump U-joint.
  2. For 540 rpm PTO shafts, the distance should be 14 inches [355.6 mm].
  3. For 1000 rpm 1-3/8" PTO shafts, the distance is 16 inches [406.40 mm].
  4. For 1-3/4" PTO shafts, the distance is 20 inches [508.00 mm].

Specs & values

  • X and Y equal distances maintain equal u-joint angles and prevent fluctuations.
