Before you start

  • NOTE: Keep foreign material free from replacement
  • NOTE: It might be helpful to number the lines per cylinder

Procedure

  1. 2. Cap delivery valve holders on pump to prevent
  2. entering of foreign material.
  3. 3. Clean housing surface around inlet filter plug.
  4. 4. Remove inlet filter plug (A) and filter using a hexagonal
  5. wrench.
  6. NOTE: Keep foreign material free from replacement
  7. components.
  8. 5. Install new filter, o-ring, plug, and gasket. Tighen plug
  9. to specification.
  10. Specification
  11. High Pressure Fuel Pump Inlet
  12. Filter Plug—Torque
  13. 18 N•m (13.3 lb-ft)

  15. 6. Install high pressure fuel pump. See REMOVE AND

Tools required

  • wrench.

Specs & torque values

  • 3 lb-ft
