Before you start

  • NOTE: Fuel lines may be connected to different filter inlet

Procedure

  1. 1. Thoroughly clean fuel filter/water bowl assembly and
  2. surrounding area to keep from getting dirt and debris
  3. into fuel system.
  4. 2. Connect a fuel line to filter drain and drain all fuel from
  5. system.
  6. 3. Remove final fuel filter element (A). See REPLACE
  7. FINAL FUEL FILTER ELEMENT later in this Group.
  8. NOTE: Fuel lines may be connected to different filter inlet
  9. and outlet ports depending on engine application.
  10. 4. Disconnect fuel lines from fuel inlet (B), air bleed valve
  11. fitting (D) (if applicable), and fuel outlet (C).
  12. 5. Remove cap screws and final fuel filter base. Remove
  13. final filter.
  14. 6. Replace parts as necessary.
  15. 7. Install filter base on engine cylinder head. Tighten cap
  16. screws to specifications.

  18. Final Fuel Filter
  19. Base-to-Bracket—Torque
  20. 50 N•m (36.9 lb-ft)

  • 53.4 lb-ft
  • 36.9 lb-ft
