Before you start
- Install seal dry; installation tool must be used as it exerts the proper pressure on seal
Procedure
- Use JD262A to install bearing shaft
- Press bearing shaft into housing until bearing face is flush with housing
- Support pump on shaft end and install water pump seal over shaft until it bottoms on shoulder
- Place pump housing under press and press impeller onto shaft until flush with housing face
- Place pump housing under press and install pulley or hub to specified dimension
