Procedure

  1. 20. Remove front timing gear cover.
  2. 21. Remove pistons and connecting rods. Identify for
  3. 22. Remove main bearing caps. Remove crankshaft
  4. 23. Remove camshaft and cam followers. Identify for
  5. 24. Remove liners and their O-ring seals. Mark liners
  6. 25. Remove piston cooling orifices.
  7. 26. Remove cylinder block plugs and engine serial
  8. 27. Refer to appropriate group for inspection and
  9. 1. Install all plugs in cylinder block that were removed
  10. 2. Install clean piston cooling orifices.
  11. 3. Install cam followers in hole from which originally
  12. 4. Install camshaft.
  13. 5. Install main bearings and crankshaft. Align timing
  14. 6. Install cylinder liners without O-rings and measure
  15. 7. Install piston and rod assemblies.
  16. 8. Install engine oil pump assembly.
  17. 9. Install crankshaft rear oil seal housing, oil seal,
  18. 10. Install timing gear cover. Install front crankshaft
  19. 11. Install oil pan.
  20. 12. Install engine oil conditioning assembly.
