Procedure
- 20. Remove front timing gear cover.
- 21. Remove pistons and connecting rods. Identify for
- 22. Remove main bearing caps. Remove crankshaft
- 23. Remove camshaft and cam followers. Identify for
- 24. Remove liners and their O-ring seals. Mark liners
- 25. Remove piston cooling orifices.
- 26. Remove cylinder block plugs and engine serial
- 27. Refer to appropriate group for inspection and
- 1. Install all plugs in cylinder block that were removed
- 2. Install clean piston cooling orifices.
- 3. Install cam followers in hole from which originally
- 4. Install camshaft.
- 5. Install main bearings and crankshaft. Align timing
- 6. Install cylinder liners without O-rings and measure
- 7. Install piston and rod assemblies.
- 8. Install engine oil pump assembly.
- 9. Install crankshaft rear oil seal housing, oil seal,
- 10. Install timing gear cover. Install front crankshaft
- 11. Install oil pan.
- 12. Install engine oil conditioning assembly.
