Procedure

  1. Clean the clamp face of the cylinder block and crankcase bearing, and also the bearing itself.
  2. Install the cylinder block to the crankcase.
  3. Gently rest the crankshaft on the cylinder block, and rotate it approximately 30 degrees to stabilize it.
  4. Cut the plastigauge to the same size as the journal width.
  5. While avoiding the oil hole of the journal, lay the gauge parallel to the journal.
  6. Gently rest the crankcase on the cylinder block.
  7. Apply molybdenum disulfide to the thread section and seating surface of the tightening components.
