Before you start

  • When removing the radiator filler cap while the engine is still hot, cover the cap with a rag, then turn it slowly to release the internal steam pressure. This will prevent a person from scalding with hot steam spouted out from the filler port.

Procedure

  1. Remove the radiator cap.
  2. Open the drain cock at the radiator lower part to drain the coolant in the radiator.
  3. Drain away the coolant from the engine by loosening the water drain plug at the rear of alternator on the left side of cylinder body.
