Ingersoll Rand — Pilot Air Valve Adjustment

Adjustments · Pilot air valve (optional)

From a Ingersoll Rand service manual — check it applies to your exact model before use.

Procedure

  1. Loosen nut (271) and adjust screw (270) located in the valve end cap (268).
  2. Adjust until drum speed for no-load haul-in equals drum speed for full load pay-out.
  3. Place a chalk mark on the drum flange so drum rpm can be accurately counted.
