Ingersoll Rand — Installation From Beneath The Beam (10 and 20 ton Trolleys)

Installation

From a Ingersoll Rand owner's manual — check it applies to your exact model before use.

Procedure

  1. Measure beam flange width
  2. Place hook plate (14) in middle of hanger shaft (9)
  3. Add spacers equally to both sides of hook plate to obtain 1/8-1/4 in. (3-6 mm) clearance between the beam and trolley flange
  4. Temporarily install nut onto hanger shaft without spacer washers on the outside of sideplate
  5. Spread side plates apart and lift trolley up and over lower beam flange
  6. Hold side plates together with a suitable clamp and remove nuts
  7. Place remaining spacers on support shaft (outside of side plates); the last washer MUST be the step washer
  8. Check clearance between beam flange and trolley wheel flanges; ensure side plates parallel and hook plate centered
  9. Install nut(s) (8) on both shafts (9); install end stop on beam
