Before you start
- Gasoline is extremely flammable and explosive; do not smoke or allow flames or sparks in the area.
Procedure
- Drain the carburetor by loosening the drain screw, draining gasoline into a suitable container.
- Change the engine oil.
- Remove the spark plug and pour about a tablespoon of clean engine oil into the cylinder; crank the engine several revolutions, then reinstall the spark plug.
- Slowly pull the starter grip until resistance is felt so intake and exhaust valves are closed.
- Cover the engine to keep out dust.
