Hercules — To Test the Fuel Pump

Procedure
- Hook the fuel supply line from the tank to the pump inlet connection.
- Holding the pump in the hand, work the rocker arm using long, even strokes; the bowl will fill with fuel.
- With strokes approximately 1/4 to 1/2 inch at the tip of the rocker arm, the pump should deliver quite a bit of fuel; if not, it requires servicing.
