Hercules — To Remove the Valves

Before you start
- Do not mark the valves with a file or punch.
Procedure
- Remove the cylinder head.
- With a clamp type valve spring compressor, compress the valve springs and remove the valve seat locks.
- Remove the valve springs and seats and lift out the valves; place the valves in a numbered block.
- Clean all carbon from the cylinder head, piston heads, valve seats, valve guides and valves.
