Hercules — To Install the Governor

From a Hercules owner's manual — check it applies to your exact model before use.
Procedure
- Place the rear race on the camshaft gear and the retainer on the end of the camshaft.
- Install the camshaft nut and tighten to 130 ft. lbs. torque.
- Check the rear race to see that it rotates freely on the camshaft gear hub and has end thrust of .007 to .020 inch clearance.
- Assemble the balance of the governor as outlined under Gear Cover.
