Hercules — To Assemble the Valves

Procedure
- Clean all traces of grinding compound off the valves, stems and guides; put a few drops of oil on the valve stems and insert the valves.
- Using a valve spring compressor, compress the valve springs and insert the valve locks.
- Turn the head on the exhaust manifold side and pour gasoline in the intake openings; regrind any leaking valves.
- Repeat the test pouring gasoline in the exhaust openings; regrind any leaking valves.
- Install the cylinder head and valves on the engine.
