Before you start
- A defective thermostat of this type must be replaced; it cannot be repaired.
Procedure
- Drain coolant.
- Disconnect radiator inlet hose from thermostat housing.
- Remove thermostat housing cap screws.
- Remove thermostat housing, thermostat and gasket from cylinder head.
- Replace thermostat and install a new housing gasket.
- Reinstall thermostat housing to cylinder head and connect hose.
