Procedure
- Remove and discard old oil filter.
- Apply thin coat of engine oil to rubber gasket of new filter.
- Screw filter onto adapter; tighten one-half turn after gasket contacts base.
- Add one extra quart of oil when refilling crankcase.
- Check for oil leaks after starting the engine.
